Detail of project
The investment plan involves the construction of a new weekend house for a family with two children, with the aim of creating a contemporary modern building meeting current demands for individual housing both in terms of equipment and layout design, as well as technological and material solutions. The design responds to the investor’s request for a weekend house for a family with two children, with emphasis placed on the terrace and glazed façades open to the south overlooking the valley. The morphology of the plot slopes from north to south. Access to the plot is provided by a driveway from the northern side. The building is a single-storey rectangular structure with a mono-pitched roof, which forms the dominant feature of the house by sloping from the south side towards the north, thus responding to the orientation of the cardinal directions. The terrace is primarily accessible through French windows via the south and west glazed façades and equidistantly follows the shape of the roof, where together with the family house it creates a massing effect that appears to overlook the south-west valley
