The original design of the house in Bykoš was designed with a pitched roof, but in an inverted design – as a negative gable roof, where the ridge is lower than the eaves edge. This approach seeks to meet the regulatory requirements for a pitched roof while maintaining the modern appearance of the building. An extension to the main mass of the house has also been designed to accommodate built-in aviaries for exotic birds as required.
The building is two-storey, unbasement. The entrance area is a hall on the ground floor, followed by a living room with a kitchenette, a utility room and a bathroom. The living room, dining room and kitchen are one room with access to the outdoor terrace. From the outdoor terrace there is access to a hobby room with aviary. Upstairs there is a hall with staircase, connected by a guest room, a study, a bathroom, a bedroom through a dressing room and a terrace on the roof of the hobby room.
The aim of the design was to achieve an economical building in wood construction, meeting all the layout requirements with the most economical solution – both layout and financial.
