Detail of project
The project represents a change of use of the existing Golden Office administrative building located in the Prague – Braník district. The proposal aims to transform the 1970s building into a contemporary, architecturally distinctive, and operationally efficient accommodation facility.
The building is situated in an attractive part of Prague-Braník, just 100 metres from the Jižní spojka arterial road and approximately 450 metres from the Vltava River.
Thanks to its direct connection to major transport routes, the location offers excellent accessibility both by car and public transport. The building stands as a solitary structure and forms a prominent landmark within the wider area.
Architectural Concept
The original fifteen-storey building, consisting of two connected towers, is undergoing a significant transformation. The proposal includes:
– alignment of the height of the northern tower
– modification and extension of the recessed top floor
– addition of two floors to the podium base
– complete façade redesign
The new façade is based on a square grid that expresses the structural frame and is filled with large-format glazing. On the upper floors, the frames are partially projected outward, creating a sculptural effect that gives the building a modern, dynamic expression and improved proportions.
